Respiratory Therapist Job in Baltimore, MD

You will work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the Adult and NICU units at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts, every other weekend required with holiday coverage expected
• No on-call requirements
• Weekly pay: $1,822.18
• Float between Adult Critical Care and NICU units
• 36 hours of orientation provided

Your Responsibilities

• Perform airway management including endotracheal tube placement, suctioning, and extubation
• Place nasal and oral airways
• Conduct pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
• Provide tracheostomy care
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Assist with high-risk deliveries
• Work with multiple ventilator platforms including Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, and Servo U
• Administer respiratory medications and treatments
• Set up and manage BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula
• Troubleshoot ventilator alarms and assist with weaning from mechanical ventilation

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• 2 years of experience as an RRT in Adult Critical Care and NICU
• 1 prior travel assignment completed
• BLS, CRT, and Maryland State licensure
• Comfort working with neonates, infants, adults, and geriatrics

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• Emergency Department experience
