About this role
University of Virginia Medical Center is seeking an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Radiology and Interventional Cardiology. You will work in a high-acuity interventional setting with 8 rooms plus 2 OR suites, supporting complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Schedule and Logistics
- 4x10 shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM) at $3,168 weekly
- One weekday call per week; one weekend call every 2 months (based on individual skill level)
- 16 hours of orientation included
- 50-mile radius rule applies
Clinical Responsibilities
You will assist with a range of interventional procedures including dialysis fistulas, contrast administration, biopsies, ablations, and peripheral vascular procedures. You will work with patients across all age groups—adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—and float to OR suites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of clinical experience
- Trauma Level I facility experience
- Epic charting system experience
- ARRT R certification
- ARRT Advanced Certification
- BLS certification
- Virginia state license
- Current flu vaccine (no exemptions)

- Experience with infants
- Kyphoplasty procedures
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Aortic interventions
- Oncology procedures
