Med Surg RN Job in Pendleton, OR

You will work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit at CHI St Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,177.28.

Schedule and Staffing

• 3x12-hour night shifts (1900–0730)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement negotiable
• Patient ratios: 1 RN to 5 patients on nights; days operate at 1 RN to 4–5 patients with typical loads below maximum
• 1–3 CNAs support day shifts; 1 CNA on night shift
• Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available both shifts

Clinical Responsibilities

You will care for patients with CHF, diabetic complications and wounds, pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, hip fractures, and post-operative patients. You may also care for general pediatric patients. Clinical work includes infrequent drip titration (Heparin, Bumex) and operation of respiratory equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen. Telemetry is monitored by CCU staff with a visible tele board.

Requirements and Onboarding

• Current Oregon RN license (90-day emergency license available if unlicensed)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Unit orientation: 3–6 shifts, extended if needed
• Charting via MEDITECH

Floating and Low Census

If not fully cross-trained, you will assist other departments as a helping hand. You may elect to fully cross-train to expand your scope. If placed on low census, you must report within 30 minutes of call.
