Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM with weekend availability as needed
• Schedule is set 6 weeks at a time with modified self-scheduling, travelers may sign up for shifts with the schedule balanced accordingly
• Night shifts are grouped together when possible
• Holiday rotation required based on facility need
• No on-call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Treat 40-50 patients per day ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Common diagnoses include strokes, STEMIs, abdominal pain, chest pain, respiratory conditions, hospice, and codes
• Common drips include Levophed, Diltiazem, Narcotics, and Propofol
• Required to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using SpaceLab monitors
• Work in a 14-bed department including one trauma/resuscitation room
• Freestanding ER that treats and ships STEMIs, strokes, traumas, and patients requiring admission
• Support staff includes CNA, Unit Clerk, and RT available 24/7
• Charting system: EPIC
• One 8 to 12-hour unit-specific orientation shift provided in addition to general orientation
• Scrub color must be clean and professional, any color accepted
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), PALS (AHA or ARC), TNCC, ENPC
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
