NICU RN Job in San Antonio, TX

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the NICU at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital in San Antonio, TX. This is a night shift position working 3 × 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a weekly pay of $1,971. Your assignment begins June 22, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for neonatal patients ranging from feeder growers to critically ill infants in a Level 4 NICU setting
• Work with patient ratios of 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4, with CNA support available for 1:4 assignments
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes using the nursing process
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in the medical record
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education and support

Schedule

You will work night shifts with a weekend requirement of 4 weekends per six weeks, including two Mondays and two Fridays.

Qualifications and Requirements

• RN license valid in Texas or compact license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• STABLE certification
• NRP certification
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent perinatal setting experience preferred

You will be required to attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days and complete all competency validations.
