Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed; unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments
• Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights
• Work in a Medical and Pediatrics unit; travelers do not take Pediatrics patients
• Major conditions and diagnoses treated include respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color
• Desired skillset includes being a hard worker, resilient, adaptable to change, able to work independently, collaborative with team and ancillary staff, and maintaining a positive attitude with flexibility throughout shifts
