Occupational Therapist Travel Job in Wichita, KS

You'll work as a travel Occupational Therapist at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, in a general acute care setting. This is a 91-day assignment starting September 21, 2026, with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, five days per week.

Your Role

You'll be based on the first floor of Building 3, working within an Occupational Therapy unit that manages approximately 250 active consults daily. Your typical patient load will be 8–10 patients per day. You'll perform OT evaluations and treatments using the Meditech EMR system and general acute care DME equipment. The unit maintains a 2:1 OTR to COTA ratio, and you'll be expected to work independently with high accountability and minimal oversight.

Requirements

• Active Kansas licensure
• Minimum 6 months of hospital-based OT experience
• BLS certification
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to the demands of an acute care environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma experience
• Comprehensive stroke experience

You'll earn $2,141 per week. This assignment offers you the opportunity to strengthen your acute care skills in a high-volume setting while enjoying the stability of a defined 91-day contract.
