About this role

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13-week inpatient pharmacy contract at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation of $3,888 weekly.

Schedule and Shift Details

You will work 5x8-hour shifts on a rotating schedule with every third weekend required. Day shift times range from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM across multiple start times. Evening shifts run from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM. If assigned overnight shifts, you will work 7 consecutive nights followed by 7 nights off, with times between 7:30 PM and 7:30 AM.

Core Requirements

  • Current Virginia pharmacy license (must be in hand at submission—no exceptions)
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; PharmD or RPh credential required
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience; travel experience preferred
  • EPIC charting system experience (firm requirement)

Key Responsibilities and Skills

You will perform medication order verification, IV preparation, order entry, and comprehensive drug interaction screening. Required competencies include IV experience, pain controlled analgesia administration, antibiotic protocols, and medication order verification. Preferred skills include chemotherapy preparation, anticoagulation management, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing adjustments.

Work Environment and Dress Code

This is an inpatient pharmacy role requiring professional dress or hunter green scrubs. Please note that scrubs are not provided by the facility. You should be prepared to bring appropriate work attire.

Assignment Dates

The assignment begins on July 6, 2026, and runs for 91 days. This contract offers the opportunity to gain or expand your inpatient pharmacy experience at an established regional medical center.
