X-Ray Technician Job in State College, PA

Mount Nittany Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician for our outpatient surgery center in State College, PA. This is a 56-week travel assignment with flexible 5x8 day shifts, starting September 8, 2026. You will earn $2,182 weekly.

About the Role

You will perform and process radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging studies in a surgical setting. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform portable and standard radiographic procedures
• Obtain diagnostic images using appropriate equipment and transfer images to PACS system
• Document all tests and procedures via computer
• Assist with clinical and office functions, including anesthesia aide duties
• Perform pregnancy tests and EKGs as needed
• Support case cart checks, room turnovers, and Phase II bed management
• Assist with supply organization from OR cases and receiving areas under RN/ST supervision
• Monitor radiology supplies and equipment certification; maintain lead apron log
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate routine maintenance
• Check OR schedule daily and coordinate radiology and clinical coverage with Clinical Supervisor and Nurse Manager
• Apply aseptic technique principles when performing intraoperative imaging
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records and information

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program
• Current certification as a radiology technician
• Current BLS certification per American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards
• Documented experience as a radiology technician
• Basic computer operational skills
• Physical ability to assist with lifting, moving, and positioning patients and handling equipment and supplies
