Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend coverage rotated per department need
• On-call requirements: approximately 6-10 shifts in 6 weeks including approximately 1 weekend per month
• Call shifts are approximately 1-2 twelve-hour shifts Monday through Friday and 1 weekend per month
• Holiday requirements: must work one summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas)
• Must have Virginia state license at time of submittal
• Required certifications: BLS (must be AHA), CST, and state registration
• Must have 2 years recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Experience required in coronary artery bypass, ascending aortic aneurysms, valve repair and replacement, structural heart procedures (TAVR, Mitraclip), thoracic organ transplants, ECMO, and ventricular assist devices
• Adult scrub experience required; pediatric scrub experience preferred
• Must demonstrate ability to multitask and apply critical thinking skills
• Participation in ongoing research protocols
• Overtime may be necessary
• Floating within scope of practice expected
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be a team player
