PCU RN Job in Fort Smith, AR

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith is seeking an experienced RN for a progressive care unit (PCU) position. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week with 36 guaranteed weekly hours, providing direct patient care in a 16-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for post-operative, cardiovascular, neurological, stroke, respiratory, and stepdown patients
• Titrate cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, and Esmolol
• Monitor patients on Bipap and Airvo devices
• Recognize and respond to patient deterioration
• Float as needed to support unit operations
• Utilize Philips bedside monitors and EPIC electronic medical records

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Experience with post-cardiovascular surgery and post-stroke patient populations
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with cardiac drip titration and respiratory support devices

Schedule & Benefits

• Days shift (3x12 hours per week)

• Weekly pay: $2,272
• Assignment duration: 91 days
