Med Surg RN Job in San Antonio, TX

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for a 13-week contract assignment at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, Texas. This is a night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week with guaranteed 36 hours of pay weekly.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Methodist Hospital Stone Oak, San Antonio, TX
• Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start Date: August 12, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $1,576.80
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Clinical Environment:

You will work on a 40-bed Med Surg unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6. The unit handles all surgical procedures, trauma patients, and large wound care. Unit support includes a unit coordinator on day shift and 2–3 PCAs on nights. Floating per facility policy is required.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
• IV peripheral start and care
• Central line care
• NG/JP/chest tube management
• Ostomy care
• Foley catheter insertion and care

Preferred Skills:

• Tracheostomy care
• Wound vacs and large dressing changes
• 3-way bladder irrigation
• Meditech charting experience

Credentials & Licensing:

• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• BLS certification required

Facility Requirements:

• Documentation via Meditech charting system
• Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants; navy or white scrub jacket for RNs
• Nail policy: No acrylic nails, maximum one inch length, clean with no chipped polish
• Hair must be off shoulders and natural color
• Body art should be covered when possible
• No visible piercings other than ears
