Telemetry RN Job in Reidsville, NC

Cone Health - Annie Penn Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Telemetry unit. You will work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on an every-other-weekend rotation with holidays as needed. This is a 91-day contract position starting May 11, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,021.76.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Manage patients with respiratory illness, post-operative conditions, orthopedic cases, pain management, GI bleeding, CHF, diabetes complications, renal failure, and drug overdose
• Handle patients with CIWA scores below 7, suicidal patients, arrhythmias, radioactive therapy patients, seizure patients, and stable COVID patients
• Administer IV medication drips including Heparin and TNA
• Perform telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Manage ports, PICC lines, chest tubes, and blood product administration
• Start and maintain IV lines with isolation precautions
• Utilize rapid response team protocols as needed
• Float between all facilities as required

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg Telemetry or Telemetry experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIH preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

Additional Information

You will receive 36 hours of orientation. First-time travelers are welcome. Compliance must be completed by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to your start date. The facility maintains a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
