CVOR Technologist Job in Grand Forks, ND

Altru is seeking a Surgical Technician with cardiovascular operating room expertise to join our team in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This is an 8-hour shift position with 40 guaranteed hours per week over a 90-day assignment starting October 19, 2026.

Your Role:

• Specialize in cardiovascular and vascular operating room procedures, including heart and vascular services
• Organize and prepare case set-ups prior to each procedure according to standard operating procedures
• Assist the Registered Nurse with circulating duties, including patient preps, supply retrieval, and documentation
• Clean, assemble, operate, and maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment, including bronchoscopy and EGD equipment
• Assist in orientation and training of second heart scrub personnel
• Provide patient care according to diagnosis and procedure, utilizing procedure cards and established policies
• Document procedure changes on procedure cards following each case and manage ordering and stocking of supplies
• Serve as subject matter expert for vascular and endovascular procedures
• Identify and communicate unusual techniques and instruments required for surgery, including complex life-saving devices
• Participate in measuring and monitoring quality indicators and outcomes

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular operating room experience required
• Travel experience required; preference for 3 completed assignments
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• North Dakota license or registration as an Unlicensed Assistive Person, RN, or LPN
• Submission packets must include resume and skills checklist detailing each procedure individually
