<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in a 16-bed Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NVICU)<br>• Patient ratios typically 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing<br>• Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as tech<br>• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000<br>• Documentation system: Meditech<br>• Minimum weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule<br>• Self-scheduling available to an extent with manager adjusting shifts to balance schedule<br>• Contract labor is first to float, may be expected to float to medical/surgical units<br>• Perform procedures including central line insertions, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions<br>• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS<br>• Active RN license and ICU experience required<br>• Dress code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms required</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility providing specialized intensive care services in the Nashville area.
