RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Schedule options: either 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) or 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• On-call requirement of 10-12 days per month, including weekends
• Must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called
• Weekend coverage required based on on-call rotation
• Expect approximately 2 full weekends of call per month
• Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff
• First-time travelers are not accepted; minimum 2 years of experience required
• Charting system: Epic experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, pericardiocentesis, IABP insertion, PPM/TPM insertion, loop recorder, and PE cases
• Proficient in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols
• Experience in diagnostic/interventional cath lab settings using fluoroscopy required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management
• Proficient with special equipment including IABP, OCT, IVUS, FFR, and Shockwave
• Serves adult and geriatric patients with an average of 4 cases per day
• Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, and heart failure
