Registered Nurse - NICU @ Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Crisis Response

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week schedule only
• 13-week contract assignments available
• Patient ratios of 1:2-4
• Weekend requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays in a 6-week period
• No call requirements
• Float to pediatrics/PICU/nursery caring for infants up to 12 months
• Self-scheduling based on unit needs
• 24 hours of unit orientation required
• Minimum 3 years experience required in level 3 or 4 ICN
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Ventilator experience required
• Care for premature infants (as low as 22 weeks), surgical infants, and hypoxic injury cases
• Perform special procedures including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, UAC/UVC, PCLs, Broviac, trachs, GTT, ostomys
• Work with specialized equipment: Tecotherm, BCPAP, Ram NC, Alaris IV pumps, Med Fusion for feedings, Servo Vents, HFOV, Baby Leo, Giraffe
• Use unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, 4P
• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed with auto approval
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
