NICU Registered Nurse Job in York, PA

You will provide direct patient care to neonates in a 44-bed Level III NICU with a daily census of 26. This is a full-time travel position working three 12-hour night shifts per week for 91 days, beginning July 6, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care to neonates with conditions including respiratory distress syndrome, transient tachypnea of the newborn, prematurity, sepsis, jaundice, hypoglycemia, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, seizure activity, pneumothorax, retinopathy of prematurity, intraventricular hemorrhage, hydrocephalus, and metabolic disease
• Provide NICU II care for neonates 29–34 weeks gestation
• Manage central lines, umbilical artery and venous catheters, and intravenous vasopressors
• Support breastfeeding and multiple feeding methods
• Operate various oxygen delivery systems, bubble CPAP, and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
• Administer surfactants and steroids
• Provide care for neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Perform isolation precautions and manage special procedures including therapeutic cooling and minor surgical cases
• Float to pediatrics and newborn nursery as needed
• Work every third weekend and holidays as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience at Level III or greater
• BLS and NRP certifications
• EPIC electronic health record experience
• Experience with all ventilation modes: high-frequency chest compression, CPAP, and conventional ventilation
• Maximum 7 days return-to-origin time allowed

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,257.11.
