Job Details:

• Function as both caregiver and care manager for emergency department patients
• Implement nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Direct and oversee work of other caregivers through delegation, coordination, and supervision
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status
• Document patient care via electronic medical records and paper processes per policy
• May function as Charge Nurse including patient assignments, admissions, discharges, transfers, and staff coordination
• Current Washington State RN licensure required
• Healthcare Provider level BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years
• PALS certification required within 12 months of hire and renewed every 2 years
• TNCC certification required within 12 months of hire and renewed every 4 years
• Moderate sedation training required within 12 months of hire and annually thereafter
• Emergency Department CEN certification preferred
• Minimum one year of RN experience preferred
• Acute care registered nurse experience preferred
• Ability to work 8-12 hour shifts with frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds and perform CPR
• May cancel up to two shifts per month or up to six shifts within any 13-week assignment
