First Assist Technician Job in Salt Lake City, UT

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a First Assist Technician for a 13-week travel assignment at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a cardiovascular operating room setting while earning $2,120 per week.

Assignment Details

• 13-week contract running September 21, 2026
• Day shifts: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• On-call requirements every third weekend and every third weekday
• May float to Main OR as needed

Your Role

You will serve as a Cardiac First Assistant and Vein Harvester in the cardiovascular operating rooms at St. Marks Hospital. Your responsibilities include assisting with open heart procedures, endoscopic vein harvesting, and supporting the surgical team throughout the operative day.

Typical Procedures

• CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
• Valve repair and replacement
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Aortic repair—open and endovascular
• Thoracic procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active certification as CSFA, CFA, or SA-C
• Minimum 2 years of independent endoscopic vein harvest experience using Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro equipment
• Minimum 2 years of open heart first assist experience
• Allied Health Professional degree

What We Provide

St. Marks Hospital supplies all scrubs and attire for your shift. You will work within two cardiovascular operating rooms with established protocols and experienced surgical teams.
