First Assist Technician Job in Salt Lake City, UT

You will work as a Cardiac First Assistant Technician at St. Marks Hospital UT in Salt Lake City. This is a 13-week travel assignment offering 36 hours per week on a 4x10 day schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Cardiac First Assistant and Vein Harvester in the operating room
• Assist with CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, aorta repair (open and endovascular), and thoracic procedures
• Perform endoscopic vein harvest procedures using Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro equipment
• Float to the main OR as needed
• Work independently in surgical settings alongside the surgical team

Requirements:

• Valid CSFA, CFA, or SA-C certification
• Minimum 2 years of independent endoscopic vein harvest experience with Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro
• Minimum 2 years of open heart first assist experience
• Ability to work independently in a cardiac surgical environment

On-Call Schedule:

• Every third weekend call rotation
• Every third weekday on-call requirement

Compensation and Benefits:

• Weekly pay: $2,190
• Scrubs provided by hospital
