CVICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You will provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This is a travel position with a 3x12 rotating shift schedule and an 89-day duration beginning April 6, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,530.80.

In this role, you will:

• Manage an assigned group of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions requiring intensive monitoring and intervention
• Deliver advanced hemodynamic support care including management of Impella devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and post-open heart surgery day 2 care
• Monitor and document physiological data, patient responses to interventions, and reactions to prescribed treatments
• Administer medications, manage intravenous infusions and blood products, and perform minor diagnostic procedures under physician direction
• Observe patient manifestations continuously and intervene when clinically necessary
• Communicate with patients and families about care plans, treatment goals, and discharge needs
• Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff and coordinate referrals for ongoing patient care

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated computer proficiency
• Ability to respond to the cultural and language needs of patients

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
