CVICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a registered nurse for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. You will provide direct nursing care to patients in the immediate post-operative period following open-heart surgery and other cardiac procedures.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care with focus on direct open-heart recovery
• Assess patients across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural dimensions
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Monitor and manage patients on advanced cardiac support devices, including Impella and balloon pump systems
• Document patient assessments and care accurately and timely in patient records
• Participate in patient and family education regarding cardiac conditions and recovery
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other healthcare team members
• Work varied schedules including weekends and holidays per department guidelines
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with departmental standards
• Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to cardiovascular intensive care

Requirements:

• Current valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years CVICU experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week
• Duration: 89 days
• Start date: June 15, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,446.20
