Med Surg RN Job in Charleston, SC

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 18-bed Complex Intervention Unit at MUSC Health Charleston, serving adult patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions. This is a travel position for 91 days beginning June 29, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Weekly pay: $1,762.56
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Unit Details

The unit is divided into a 6-bed acute care side and a 12-bed behavioral health side. You will float within scope to meet facility needs. Patient ratios are 1:3 on the med-surg side and 1:4 on the behavioral health side.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License
• BLS certification
• 1 year of experience with medical-surgical nursing
• Experience with Epic charting system
• First-time travelers are accepted

What to Expect

• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub color requirements: solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms
• Epic charting system is used throughout the facility
• Hurricane season emergency response team assignments from June through November
