About this role
UnityPoint – Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. This is a days shift position offering $2,908.80 per week, with a start date of July 27, 2026.
About the Role
You will work with Siemens and GE MRI equipment, performing imaging for ED, inpatient, and outpatient patients. Your responsibilities include power injection contrast injections and adherence to MRI-specific safety and clinical protocols. You may be required to float across all campuses as needed.
Schedule and On-Call Expectations
You will work a days shift with an on-call schedule that includes one weeknight (Sunday through Thursday) and one weekend (Friday/Saturday) every 10th weekend. Weekend assignments will be made as needed. You are required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of MRI experience
- ARMRIT certificate or ARRT/American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certificate (R)(MR)
- Strong experience and proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment
- Strong experience and proficiency with GE MRI equipment
- EPIC or EPIC Radiant experience
- Level II Trauma experience
- Valid driver's license
- MRI/Magnetic Resonance Imaging skills checklist completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Level I Trauma experience
- Travel healthcare experience
- Professional reference from within the past 24 months from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO
You will wear charcoal gray scrubs during your assignment. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a busy hospital setting with exposure to multiple MRI platforms and trauma levels.
