PreOp RN Job in Mountain View, CA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PreOp position at Sutter Health Palo Alto Medical Foundation East El Camino Real in Mountain View, CA. This is an 84-week travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care
• Schedule: 5x8 Days (no weekend shifts required)
• Weekly Pay: $2,527
• On-call as needed
• May float to Endoscopy unit as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments encompassing physiological, spiritual, and emotional areas
• Collaborate with physicians and mid-level practitioners to coordinate patient care services
• Provide pre-operative education and prepare patients for surgical procedures
• Obtain operative and procedural consent from patients
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents as ordered by physicians or mid-level providers
• Review patient history and physical documentation
• Start and maintain IVs and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG as needed
• Provide care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patient populations

Requirements

• Valid California RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Admissions experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system preferred
