Med Surg RN Job in Poplar Bluff, MO

You will work as a registered nurse in medical-surgical care at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026, offering a 36-hour weekly guarantee on night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week.

Unit and Patient Population

• You will float between two Med Surg units on the 5th and 6th floors of a 36-bed facility.
• 5th floor Med Surg: orthopedic, surgical, and stroke patients.
• 6th floor Med Surg/Telemetry: cardiac, respiratory, dialysis, and hospice patients.
• Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7 depending on acuity.

Expectations and Scheduling

• You will be required to float between both units as needed.
• Blocked scheduling requests will be considered but may not be guaranteed.
• Overtime (RTO) is capped at 36 hours per week unless otherwise discussed.
• You may be required to work Easter, Mother's Day, or Memorial Day.

Requirements and Details

• Current RN license and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• The facility uses Cerner electronic medical records.
• Scrubs must be royal blue.

Compensation and Duration

Weekly pay is $2,385 for this 13-week assignment. You will receive a 36-hour weekly guarantee with the opportunity to extend based on staffing needs and mutual agreement.
