ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Minimum 2+ years of emergency room experience required
• Required certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Preferred certification: CEN
• Active Texas RN license required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Meditech documentation system experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills preferred
• Perform procedures including conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis management, stroke care (TPA administration), and chest pain/heart alerts
• All travelers are required to float per Methodist Floating Policy
• Dress code: Navy scrubs required; undershirts and jackets must be white, navy, or black only
• No acrylic nails, nails must be no longer than one inch, clean, and no chipped nail polish
• Hair must be off shoulders and natural color
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
