Operating Room RN Job in Philadelphia, PA

Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their Operating Room. You will work a 4x10 night schedule with 8-hour and 12-hour shifts between 11:00 PM and 7:30 AM, including weekend and holiday on-call rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Level I Trauma center performing complex surgical procedures
• Assist with abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, anterior cervical fusion, craniotomy, femoral popliteal bypass graft, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, cardiovascular surgery, neurology surgery, transplant surgery, vascular surgery, and trauma procedures
• Manage 1:1 patient ratio across a 30-patient daily census in 14 operating rooms
• Perform both scrub and circulate duties as needed
• Document in Cerner electronic health record system
• Float to GI unit or Center One Surgery Center when needed
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services

Requirements:

• RN with valid PA or compact nursing license
• Minimum 3 years operating room experience required
• Minimum 2–3 years Level I Trauma experience with current Trauma certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Current BLS certification
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not considered
• Scrub and circulate experience preferred

This 91-day assignment begins July 27, 2026, with a 40-hour orientation. You will earn $3,024 per week. On-call is required for 2 weekends per contract period, with 1 summer and 1 winter holiday call shift, plus 1 summer and 1 winter holiday work shift included.
