Telemetry RN Job in South Charleston, WV

Join WVU Thomas Health – Thomas Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse on our 32-bed Telemetry unit in South Charleston, WV. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) with rotating weekends and holidays on an every-other-weekend rotation. This is a 91-day travel position starting June 5, 2026, paying $2,365.20 weekly.

Your Role

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, including CHF, chest pain, and post-cardiac catheterization cases. Your responsibilities include:

• Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Titrate drips including Nitro, Amiodarone, Lasix, Heparin, and Dopamine
• Review cardiac strips each shift with support from 24/7 monitor tech staff
• Chart in the EPIC system
• Float to Med-Surg units or the Emergency Department as needed to care for boarded patients
• Optionally cross-train and fill the Charge Nurse role if interested

What You'll Bring

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Med-Surg and Telemetry experience required
• Critical Drips experience required
• Chemo experience preferred
• Travel healthcare experience required

What to Expect

Block scheduling is not guaranteed. You will complete two 12-hour orientation shifts with a preceptor. Dress code requires navy solid-color scrubs with no embroidery or patterns, and closed-toe shoes—no crocs. BSN is not required for this role.
