Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Work in a 10-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU unit located on the 3rd floor
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 for critical care (estimated, never guaranteed)
• Night shift consists of 1 Charge RN with RN staff based on volume
• Utilize Phillips monitors, Medfusion and Baxter pumps, and Meditech EMR system
• Perform post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients
• Perform moderate sedation procedures
• Cardiac critical care experience of greater than 2 years required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT skills preferred
• ECMO bedside experience preferred
• Must be flexible, organized, and a strong communicator with an ability to resource and teach
