PICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You'll provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health. This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day duration, beginning April 13, 2026. You'll earn $2,930.40 per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from straightforward to complex conditions
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients throughout your shift
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge planning
• Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• PALS certification from American Heart Association required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients
• Level 1 experience required
