Occupational Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 4 ten-hour shifts per week from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekend requirements include 40% of weekend days, typically every other full weekend with occasionally 2 weekends off in a row
• Holiday requirements are minimal - travelers almost never work holidays unless there is a specific need
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required as a licensed therapist
• Must be able to evaluate and treat adult acute care patients
• Provide discharge recommendations and communicate safe mobility plans to interdisciplinary team
• Cover all acute care adult population except ICU (ICU coverage only if you have previous strong ICU experience)
• Treat 8-10 patients per day with 2-3 therapists working per day
• Common diagnoses include neurologic conditions (CVA, MS, Parkinson, Guillain Barre), general medical, orthopedic (total joints and fractures), cardiac (pacers), and oncology
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) and State License
• Charting system: EPIC
• Dress code: Any color scrubs or business casual
• At least 2 days onboarding with experienced OT preceptor
• First week requires working Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts to accommodate onboarding schedule
• 8-week schedule with attempts to accommodate requests, no self-scheduling
• First-time travelers are acceptable
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
