Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 8-week contract assignment
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Alabama nursing license required
• 2 years of experience required
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs and manage Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips with no titration
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams, blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care/management experience required
• Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Charting system experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Complete facility modules during orientation (approximately 8 hours)
