Laboratory - Medical Technologist

Job Details:

• Work primarily in blood bank department
• MLT not accepted - Medical Technologist certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Every third weekend coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed (rare)
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Holiday coverage required based on assignment period (see holiday policy)
• Must have travel experience
• Required certifications: ASCP, ASCP MT, ASCP-BB, AMT, or ABB acceptable
• Extensive skills required including blood banking procedures, crossmatching, antibody screening, specimen collection, quality assurance, and laboratory testing
• Clinical screening process required for candidacy review
• Full compliance required to start on time
• Georgia or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Two supervisory references highly preferred (Manager level or above)
• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing
