Telemetry RN Job in Akron, OH

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 91-day travel assignment at Akron Campus in Akron, Ohio. You'll work 3x12 shifts on days, earning $2,229 weekly.

Role Overview

You'll join a 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with acuity-adaptable care. Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:6 depending on care needs. This role includes charge nurse responsibilities, and you may be assigned to float to other units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on the Telemetry unit
• Manage patient assignments and coordinate with the nursing team
• Perform charge nurse duties, including Pyxis checks, crash cart checks, admission assignments, and shift-based care planning
• Act as liaison to supervisor and manage break and meal scheduling
• Assist with phlebotomy as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Epic EHR experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume)
• Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE
• Solid black scrubs required

Preferred Qualifications

Charge nurse experience is highly preferred. Candidates without charge experience must be willing to complete training on the job.

Assignment Details

Assignment starts October 4, 2026, for 91 days. Block schedules are accommodated on a case-by-case basis—indicate your interest at the time of submission. You may request up to 7 days of time off during the assignment; no time off is permitted during the first two weeks. Interview is required; you must provide your available dates and times at submission.
