NICU RN Job in Tacoma, WA

St Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 91-day travel assignment in their 34-bed NICU unit. This is a night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts with weekends as needed. You will earn $2,397 per week.

Schedule and Availability

• Night shift with flexible scheduling in 6-week blocks, posted 2 weeks in advance
• Holiday availability required
• The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks

Unit Details

• 34-bed NICU with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3-4 depending on acuity
• Patient population includes 24-week gestation infants; no surgical services, no cooling, no ECMO
• Charting via EPIC
• Philips cardiac monitors
• Drager 500 ventilators
• Common drips: insulin and dopamine
• NICU PICC team on site
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Neonatologist on site 8 hours daily, 7 days per week; advanced practice providers available 24/7

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• BSN is not required
• May float to Postpartum as needed
• Scrub color is staff dependent
