MRI Technologist Job in Alpena, MI

MyMichigan Health - Alpena is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will perform magnetic resonance imaging on patients using advanced technical equipment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and image quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform MRI scans utilizing proper protocols, coils, restraints, and positioning techniques
• Prepare scan rooms and patients for examination, including patient screening for contraindications
• Administer IV contrast via injection when appropriate and oral contrast as indicated
• Conduct equipment warm-up procedures and enter patient data with correct scan parameters
• Transport patients to exam rooms and assist with proper positioning and orientation marking
• Enter images with attention to proper sequencing and prepare complete records for radiologist review
• Work one weekend per month with no on-call responsibilities

Position details:

• Shift: 5x8 rotating schedule
• Start date: June 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,699.42
• Location: Alpena, MI

Requirements:

• 2+ years of MRI experience required
• Siemens equipment experience required
• Associate degree in Allied Health or related field
• Current ARRT or AMRIT MRI certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Skills checklist current within one year
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility
