ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule is 3x12 shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers with 2-3 years of experience will be considered
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Average daily census of 130-150 patients per day
• 21 rooms and 31 beds in the emergency department
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Cerner documentation system experience preferred but not required
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Scrubs provided
• Orientation: 36-48 hours
• Key skills include triage, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and pediatric emergency care
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
