PCU Registered Nurse Job in Sioux City, IA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at UnityPoint – St. Luke's Downtown in Sioux City, Iowa. This is a temporary position on a day shift schedule, working 3 x 12-hour shifts per week.

Your Role

You will provide professional clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary team focused on patient care management. Your responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff to deliver evidence-based care in a step-down environment.

Schedule & Compensation

You will work every other weekend. The position includes a 16-hour night, weekend, and holiday differential. Your weekly pay is $2,332.80. The assignment is for 91 days, beginning July 6, 2026.

Facility & Clinical Expectations

You may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses and will float to the ED (Emergency Department) when needed. The facility uses the EPIC electronic medical records system. You will maintain compliance with all clinical protocols and documentation standards.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of previous step-down experience
• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• NIHSS certification
• Valid taxable address outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date
• One supervisory reference provided at time of submission
