Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Riverview, FL

St. Josephs Hospital - South is seeking a registered nurse for our Cardiac Cath Lab in Riverview, Florida. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a 4x10 day shift schedule, paying $2,407.68 weekly. Your start date is August 31, 2026.

Role Overview

You will support cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional cardiology cases across adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. You may float to Interventional Radiology within scope as facility needs require. On-call duties are required on a rotating schedule of one week on, three weeks off. Weekend and block schedule availability will be discussed during your interview.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of Cath Lab experience required; first-time travelers accepted if experienced as a Cath Lab RN
• Florida license or compact license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must pass EKG exam (three attempts allowed)
• Conscious sedation skills required
• Experience in both Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology required

Key Clinical Skills

You should be proficient in: Activated Clotting Time (ACT), antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, blood product administration, cardiac stent placement, cardioversion, circulating procedures, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, dobutamine, emergency medications, IABP placement and removal, Impella insertion, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV infusion pumps, IV vasopressors, left and right heart catheterization, 12-lead EKG/ECG, pacemaker insertion, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), procedural sedation administration and monitoring, reversal agents, Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale, sheath removal and monitoring, IV placement and maintenance, thrombolytics, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), and vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose.
