Opportunity:

RN - ER Med Surg

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with self/team scheduling
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• Float between ER, Med Surg, and Swing Bed departments as needed
• One 12-hour shift of unit/department specific orientation provided
• ER nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4; Med Surg ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Care for ER patients including traumas, strokes, STEMIs, chest pains, respiratory diagnoses, and lacerations
• Care for Med Surg patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, including pneumonia, UTIs, observation, and swing bed patients
• Administer and manage common drips including Heparin and Levophed
• Required to read and interpret telemetry/monitor strips independently
• Charge nurse experience required
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Critical access experience strongly preferred
• BSN not required
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
