Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Minimum 3 weekends required per 6-week period
• Possibility of being placed on call depending on unit and hospital needs
• Possibility of floating depending on unit and hospital needs
• Maximum 5 days of requested time off
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Telemetry experience required; ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with pediatric population
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• PALS certificate must be obtained prior to start
• Charting system: Meditech
• Scrub color: Any color - professional appearance required
• Responsible for primary nursing including vitals and phlebotomy
• Must communicate with techs throughout the shift for assistance
• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, IV management, heparin, insulin protocols, wound care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias, among others
• Special equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, bladder scanner, vein finder, and telemetry
