PCU RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at WVU JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 5, 2026, with three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Unit Overview

The 32-bed unit includes 22 stepdown beds and 10 floor beds. You will care for patients with cardiology conditions, heart failure, cardiac surgery cases, and medical/hospitalist patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 for stepdown patients and 1:5–6 for floor patients.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Titrate critical drips including heparin, insulin, nitro, Cardizem, nicardipine, Lasix, amiodarone, and dobutamine
• Manage cardiac and medical patients across both stepdown and floor settings
• Float to other units as needed per staffing requirements
• Chart in the EPIC system

Schedule and Requirements

• Rotating weekends required: 3–4 weekend days, 2 Fridays, and 2 Mondays per 4-week period
• Holiday schedule as assigned: one evening and one day holiday per assignment
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, 1 shift for shorter assignments
• Self-scheduling available with block scheduling flexibility
• Royal blue scrubs required

Required Credentials and Experience

• Current RN license
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Cardiac experience preferred

Unit-specific orientation will be provided. You will earn $2,496.60 per week.
