51605 - Travel: RN - PMC - Operating Room/Surgery - DAYS

Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work 4 ten-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Primary assignment at PMC but must be willing to float to Main campus OR as staffing needs require
• No weekend requirements, but can volunteer to pick up call at Main campus
• No on-call requirements, but expected to stay and finish scheduled cases if they run past block time
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS Certification required via AHA
• ACLS Certification required via AHA
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Provide routine and complex perioperative care utilizing the nursing process
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of surgical situations
