CVOR Technologist Job in Valparaiso, IN

You'll work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room at Porter Hospital, focusing on open heart cases. This is a 13-week travel assignment running days from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do

• Scrub open heart cases as your primary responsibility
• Support general surgery, orthopedic, neurosurgery, DaVinci robotic, and gynecology cases when not scheduled for open heart
• Work in a 12-bed unit with 1:1 patient ratio
• Manage new Stryker equipment
• Wear surgical blue scrubs

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technician experience
• Proven open heart surgery experience and ability to scrub diverse case types
• Reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Assignment Details

• Guaranteed 72 hours bi-weekly
• Call requirements include weeknights and weekends
• No floating to other units required
• Block scheduling not available
• Maximum 1 week of requested time off; Thanksgiving week is a blackout/required holiday period
• EMR system: Cerner

Pay and Timeline

• Weekly rate: $2,311
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Duration: 91 days
