Job Details:

• Evaluate patient outcomes and make changes in plan of care within the multidisciplinary team
• Provide respiratory care as ordered by physician while maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff
• Plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures and discharge
• Accept reassignment to other units when necessary
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students and serve as a role model for clinical practice
• Associate's degree required
• Required certifications: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), Illinois License, BLS, NRP-MHC
• Work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment
• Provide patient education and ensure understanding of respiratory care procedures
