Job Details:

• Varied work schedule
• May be required to float to sister site dependent on staffing and census
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history and diagnostics, report abnormal laboratory results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in shared leadership, education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors
• Precept and mentor staff as appropriate to support professional growth
• Actively participate in improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
