Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating required between Downtown, Northeast, Fairfield, and Kershaw campuses based on census and staffing needs
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs required
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina RRT license must be in hand at time of start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, RRT
• Epic charting experience required
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• Perform respiratory therapy services including adult critical care, aerosol treatments, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, mechanical ventilation weaning, tracheostomy care, bronchoscopy assistance, ABG interpretation, intubation assistance, and sputum specimen collection
• Administer respiratory medications including albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, and other inhaled therapies
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September
