Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, holidays as needed
• 12 weekend shifts per contract
• Scrub color: Black
• RRT or CRT accepted, Maryland license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Transport experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Provide respiratory care for patient age groups including neonates, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform skills including aerosol setup, BiPAP/CPAP, chest physiotherapy, drawing arterial blood gases, ET tube management, extubation, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), intubation assist, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), mechanical ventilation weaning, tracheostomy care and management, and patient transports
• Administer respiratory medications including albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, and Xopenex
• Interdisciplinary support provided through Respiratory Services
